Four teams remain undefeated in boys division

first_imgFour teams are vying for top spot in the boys division of the X-Blades National Youth Championships at Port Macquarie.Defending premiers Queensland Secondary Schools Touch, Central Queensland Bulls, New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges and NSW Combined High Schools remain the only undefeated teams in the competition.All four recorded comfortable wins on day one.QSST won 9-6 against Touch New Zealand under 15s, a 16-4 thumping of Victoria and scored eight touchdowns while NSW Combined Independent Schools were kept scoreless.The Bulls had wins over Victoria (13-2), NSWCIS (11-1), South Queensland Sharks (14-4).NSWCCC and NSWCHS sit on top of Pool B with 14 points.NSWCHS enjoyed victories over NSW Touch Association Development (13-2), ACT Pirates (17-2), and Western Tigers (10-6).NSWCCC were too good for Touch New Zealand under 17s (7-2) then they escalated their attack and scored 35 touchdowns in their next two matches against Tasmania (18-5) and Northern Territory (17-2).That 15-touchdown defeat to NSWCCC hurt NT’s for and against but they remain third in Pool B while South Queensland Sharks are holding the number three position in Pool A.Tomorrow will see two of those undefeated teams go head-to-head.NSWCCC and NSWCHS meet each other on field two at 10.40am in the match of the day.Whoever wins this match will most likely go on and finish on top of the competition, and have the number one ranking heading into the quarter-finals.For more information on the NYC, check out these websites:NYC – Football Australia – follow us on Twitter or on our Facebook page.Related LinksFour Teams Undefeatedlast_img
